Scott & Laura Carter
Scott and Laura are passionate about seeing followers of Jesus become trainers for Jesus. Jesus taught his followers to pass on all that they had received and they are attempting to do the same. God has given them 25 years of varied ministry opportunities living and serving in both the United States and Internationally (Colombia, South America).
They have 3 adult children (Jackson, Makayla and Avianna) and reside in Iowa when they are not traveling internationally training trainers. They enjoy reading, kayaking and learning about new cultures and trying new foods.

What We Do
Training church leaders in every culture to study, teach, preach & practice the Word of God effectively
Training Trainers
Jesus commissioned the church “to make disciples of all nations” (Mt. 28:19-20). However, there are many misconceptions that occur when we hear the word “disciple” that can hinder our understanding of the biblical mandate. That is why we prefer the word “trainer”. True discipleship, as found in the Bible, includes the idea of “passing on” what has been received.
The primary resource God has given us to accomplish the task of building strong disciples is the gift of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God working together to transform lives. One the greatest reasons for the lack of growth in discipleship is that most church leaders do not know how to study or teach the Word of God accurately.
We do this by teaching them HOW to study the Bible and model for them HOW to pass the training along to others.
How We Train
We train Bible Study Trainers through a Bible training program called Pathways. The Pathways Bible Training Workshops are designed to help church leaders gain practical skills in studying the Bible so that they can understand and apply God’s message for themselves and for their congregations.
In order to learn how to study the Bible well, certain skills and a disciplined process of study are needed (2 Timothy 2:15).
The basic habits of writing down ideas that emerge from the text, of studying and preparing messages and teachings, of meditating on Scripture, applying and teaching it well to their people, are all new to many church leaders (2 Timothy 3:16-4:5).
