Does God have a sense of humor? Well, we think so. Don't think so? Take a look at the platypus! Not only is it goofy looking with it's webbed feet and a bill like a duck (yet still somehow cute), the female platypus lays eggs, and males have venomous spurs.
One of the things about being created in God's image is that unlike the rest of creation, we have the ability to create and enjoy humor. You will never see a cow telling a joke. But you can hear our 9 year old nephew tell you a joke about a cow. (Q: What do you call a cow with two left feet shorter than the right feet? A: Lean Beef. Q: What do you call a cow with no feet? A: Ground Beef. And he has many more!)
In November VLOG, we told you that we had a goal of reaching 50% by the end of 2021. As 2021 came to a close, we didn't see it happening. However, 2 days before the new year, we had 2 new partners that helped us reach that goal. The part that made us smile was God actually brought us to 51%! He truly does have a sense of humor and enjoys us enjoying him.
Now, 1% might not seem like a big deal, but it was a friendly reminder that God is capable of doing what we find impossible and even going above and beyond. God continually reminds us to trust him and his timing. So yes, we think God has a sense of humor because we sure laughed that night!
Our goal now is to reach 60%, at which point, Scott will be able to quit his current job and devote himself entirely to working towards us being 100% fully funded. The sooner we get to fully funded, the sooner we can begin training trainers globally how to study the Bible.
